Champion Unveils New Products Ahead of Market Launch

Visitors to Automechanika will have an opportunity to preview HV Battery Filters and Wipers ahead of their planned market introduction

Kontich, Belgium, September, 2026 – Champion®, a DRiV brand, is expanding its product portfolio with the introduction of two new products: High Voltage Battery Filters and a range of Wipers, designed to address evolving vehicle technologies and service opportunities across the aftermarket. Both additions will be presented to visitors at Automechanika Frankfurt trade fair ahead of their planned market launch.

The first of the two launches, Champion HV Battery Filters, has been developed for specific hybrid vehicle battery cooling systems, reflecting the growing presence of electrified vehicles in the European car parc. The launch marks also a further expansion of Champion's filtration portfolio, which already includes cabin, air, oil and fuel filters.

Champion HV Battery Filters incorporates premium, reinforced filtration media engineered to protect hybrid battery cooling systems from dust and debris contamination. By limiting particle build-up on key components and maintaining airflow, the filter supports battery thermal control and service life. Designed for compatibility with OE-specified applications, the product enables straightforward replacement.

At launch, planned for first quarter of 2027, the range will include 21 part numbers and provide coverage for approximately 4.5 million vehicles that use cabin air to cool the high voltage battery from brands including Toyota, Lexus, Suzuki, Mazda, providing up to 99% coverage of these applications across the European vehicle parc.

"As hybrid technologies become increasingly common, workshops are encountering new maintenance requirements related to battery thermal management and cooling system performance. At the same time, servicing these vehicles often requires parts designed for specific applications. The introduction of HV Battery Filters reflects these developments, and it is not the last addition customers will see from Champion. We already have further product launches planned for the near future", said Robbie De Moor, Product Director Maintenance EMEA, DRiV.

Champion will also showcase at Automechanika its new wipers range, including flat blades and conventional wiper blades - scheduled for launch in the first quarter of next year. The range will initially include approximately 85 part numbers, covering around 90% of vehicles in Europe. The products combine features designed to support performance, durability, safety and driving comfort, and incorporate pre-installed, intuitive multi-adapters to support easier installation and inventory consolidation.

Further details about the range will be announced closer to its market introduction, but visitors to Frankfurt trade show will have an opportunity to see the products ahead of its official release.

These additions are intended to help distributors broaden their product offering while simplifying stock management. At the same time, they provide workshops with access to replacement parts developed for modern vehicle applications and evolving service requirements.

Both new Champion products will be showcased at Automechanika Frankfurt ahead of their planned market introduction. Visitors can learn more about the upcoming additions and other DRiV brands portfolio at Hall 4.0 - Booth C31.
